Co–Founder and Chief Creative Officer
Johanna has over twenty years of professional experience in the field of graphic design, brand communication, advertising, and editorial design. As Co-Founder and Creative Director at Segal Savad, Johanna focuses on the overall creative vision of numerous projects and campaigns, with a skill for identifying the most concise method to capture and express a brand’s visual personality and goals. Her work has received recognition including awards, most notably from The Society of Publication Design, Graphis, Society of Illustrators, and the Financial Communication Society. Her work has also been featured in the book Typography Essentials: 100 Design Principles for Working with Type by Ina Saltz.
Prior to co-founding Segal Savad, Johanna worked as a designer at Elle Décor magazine, then spent several years in marketing at The Condé Nast Publications, first serving as a Senior Designer for Allure magazine and then as the Promotion Art Director for Architectural Digest.
Johanna has a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City.
